3rd DECI call resulted in over 60 proposals
As a result of the the 3rd DECI Call for Proposals over 60 proposals have been received involving scientists from 13 European countries and collaborators from North and South America, Asia and Australia. The closing date for this third call for proposals was June 30, 2007. (27.8.2007)
2nd DECI: 23 proposals retained for operation in 2006 - 2007
The 2nd European Call for Proposals of the DEISA Extreme Computing Initiative has resulted in over 40 proposals from nine European countries and from all kinds of scientific areas. Requests for supercomputing resources exceeded available resources by a factor of three. Only 23 projects could be retained for operation in 2006 - 2007, in line with the recommendations of the national evaluation committees. The enabling and preparational work of the new projects is underway, and first projects will start production runs in January 2007. List of projects (22.12.2006)
1st DECI: 27 proposals retained for operation in 2005 - 2006
The first European Call for Proposals of the DEISA Extreme Computing Initiative was extremely successful, and 52 proposals have been received in all areas of science and technology. The call took place from April 1st to May 30th, 2005. Scientists in Europe were invited to submit Expressions of Interest for leading simulations that could take advantage of the DEISA Grid. After evaluation, 27 proposals have been retained for operation in 2005-2006. (03.11.2005) List of projects
DEISA Extreme Computing Initiative well in progress.
DEISA Extreme Computing Initiative dealing with leading "flagship" applications is well in progress. Over 50 proposals have been received during the first call for proposals in April and May 2005 (closure date May 30). Currently proposals are assessed through national evaluation committees. Deployment of the applications in DEISA will start in early autumn 2005. (01.07.2005) Read more
